Individual Members
Our individual members play a key role in advancing our vision by contributing to community-led projects. They participate in events, advocacy campaigns, and empowerment initiatives.
Chapters
Our chapters do great work (across six continents!) to meet the needs of their communities. They educate and raise awareness about Internet-related issues, build local capacity, and foster community collaboration.
Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and Standing Groups (SGs)
Our SIGs and SGs bring like-minded Internet Society members together to work on Internet-related issues that matter most to them. Any individual or chapter member can join a SIG or SG.
Organization Members
Organization members are companies, non-profits, academic institutions, and governmental organizations that share our mission and work with us to help grow and strengthen the Internet for everyone.
Fellows
Our fellows are Internet champions at all stages of their careers. Through our structured programs, fellows develop their potential, grow their knowledge, and gain access to tools and communities to help them thrive.
Alumni
Our alumni network is an interactive community of Internet champions. Graduates of our leadership, policy, technical, and learning programs make up this dynamic and diverse group.

A Once-Overlooked Tool: How Community Networks Connected Haiti and the World
Community networks are so much more than wires and routers. They connect us to opportunities across towns, across borders, and across the globe. Their journey to mainstream discussion and celebration within the Internet governance ecosystem has not always been smooth. But groups like our Haiti Chapter are using them to connect thousands of people and make real change.
